Thermal Shading Screen

For different types of crops, at different stages of the growing season, it is imperative to reduce the intensity of the sunrays and the heat to which the crops are exposed. This is particularly true in nurseries and during the planting of seedlings.

The Shade Screen offers partial shade, according to the amount of light that we want to be transmitted (40% - 50% shade).

The screen is spread high above the crops, adjacent to the gutter of the greenhouse, dividing the greenhouse into two sections.

There are a number of methods for the mechanical operation of the screen, depending on the nature of the crops being grown and budgetary considerations:

The Basic System: The screen is extended and retrieved back into place by pulling on the conveying wires.

The Manual Conveying System:  The screen is extended and retrieved back into place by a system of steel cables and a conveying axis, while a gear and a manual operating device serve as the main source for moving the screen.

The Automatic Conveying System:  The screen is extended and retrieved back into place by a system of steel cables and a conveying axis, while a gear and an electric motor serve as the main source for moving the screen. One motor can extend and retrieve a screen covering up to 7 dunams.

A thermal shade screen that moves in the direction of gutter to gutter can be installed on structures intended for growing crops that are not trellised.
